I am a christian and I read a monthly journal "Prayer Journal" which has daily messages.
It also contains letters that are written by the church members in Korea.
In this month's journal I read a letter titled 'Spending Wisely'.
Notes from the letter
as we grow older many of us face hardships because we don't have the right mindset in managing our own money-the countless credit
delinquents with huge debts and the ballooning amount of credit card payments are a few examples of such undisciplined behavior.
Our body consists of 80% water and 20% of other elements, while the air is composed of 80% oxygen and 20% of other gases. In a similar
vein wisdom has taught the Jewish people to save 80% of their income and spend only 20%; after all it will be these 20% of capitalists who will
exert control over 80% of the economy.
Isn't it quiet obvious that our Remnants who are fully armed with the Gospel will be the leaders in the future economy when they have a sound economic
mindset that excels that of the Jewish people? Bring 80% of your income to the bank and spend only 20%-do this on a weekly basis so you can have better control over your expenses. If you feel you don't have enough money to spend, withdraw only 20% of what has been saved that month. This will develop wining habits. Also don't forget your tithe which belongs to God - this is all too obvious.

I must prepare myself to be reliable person who can manage the future economy. As the first step I must learn the sound principles of spending.
I must take record of my spending and evaluate my spending habits monthly. Then i must examine my average financial scale on a weekly and monthly
basis and check how much i spend and save.
